Gaelic Awareness Month Events Presented by the Antigonish Highland Society

what is Our Story?

Our Story explores the forces that created the immigrant Gael, and how these determined Highlanders established themselves in northeastern Nova Scotia. Language, the culture and the music that nurtured and sustained them as well as the religious, political and economic pressures that challenged and drove them will be discussed.

When is our story taking place?

These talks will be presented over two sessions at the People’s Place Libray in Antigonish. The first session is Saturday, April 23rd beginning at 1:15 PM and ending at 3:45 PM. The second session is Sunday, May 1st also beginning at 1:15 PM and ending at 3:45 PM. There is no charge and all are welcome! We encourage all to attend to understand and maintain Our Story.
