Antigonish Highland Society – 2017 Antigonish Highland Games
The Antigonish Highland Society (AHS) is in the process of its greatest transformation in its 154 year history. We are a Provincial cornerstone of Scottish Heritage. As such we strive to provide and advocate for authentic expression of Highland Scottish Heritage that is sustainable. To do so is a fine balance between respecting and preserving our traditions from the past and making room for new ones. As our community grows and changes so must we.
Operating with the guidance of a Board generated Strategic Plan; our greatest community asset is the Antigonish Highland Games.
(The Games) since its inception in 1863, are northern Nova Scotia’s premiere entertainment attraction, bringing thousands of regional, national and international fans and participants of Highland music, dance and athletics to Antigonish each summer. These games are the largest undertaking of the society but represent part of a calendar of events hosted by or partnered with our Society.
