 Leo MacDonald  Head On-Field Official SPONSORED BY
Leo has officiated at highland games around the Maritimes since 1979, including twenty years as the head official at the Antigonish Highland Games. A former English teacher and avid outdoorsman, Leo brings a wealth of judging experience to the World Team Championship. He was the head official at the 2003 World Highland Games Championships held in Antigonish as well as head official at the 2005 CSAF Championships in Calgary, Alberta. Leo is a former president of the Antigonish Highland Society and Chief of the Clans. Leo resides in Antigonish county with his wife Cathy, who is also an active participant at the Antigonish Highland Games as official scorekeeper. His firm, but fair style promises to add excitement to this already thrilling event.

     
     
 Marty Gilfoy  Field Judge SPONSORED BY
Former Maritime Heavy Events champion Marty Gilfoy assumes a new role at the 2011 Antigonish Highland Games. A long time competitor and champion in tossing the hammer, Marty is a familiar face at the Antigonish Highland Games. He has acted as field set-up coordinator since his retirement from heavy athletics in 2006. This year will see Marty assume the field judge duties, a role that includes marking distances and side-judging the caber. A resident of Antigonish, Marty is also the head coach of the Junior Heavies program that has produced numerous champions over the years. A true ambassador to the sport, Marty continues to donate his time and expertise to the Antigonish Highland Games.

     
     
 Richard Johnson  Master of Ceremonies SPONSORED BY
The Antigonish Highland Games is pleased to welcome Richard Johnson as Master of Ceremonies for the 2011 CSAF Canadian Heavy Events Championship. Originally from Saint John, New Brunswick, Richard brings extensive broadcasting experience to the Antigonish Highland Games. He has worked with CBC Radio One as a financial commentator as well as with Atlantic University Sport football and basketball, including his current role as head announcer for St. Francis Xavier X-Men basketball team. Richard is also a supporter of heavy athletics in Atlantic Canada often sponsoring events and athletes. A true sports fan, his enthusiasm and passion for Scottish culture are sure to bring more excitement to the Ancient Scottish Heavy Events.
